Shipping Information

Shipping Carriers

SP Images primarily partners with United Parcel Service (UPS) for most of our outbound ground shipments. However, we also provide shipping options through FedEx, DHL, and various freight carriers such as ABF Freight, R&L Freight Services, XPO Freight, and more. If you have your own carrier account, we are happy to accommodate by shipping and billing your order using your account via third-party billing

If you are a freight carrier seeking information or looking to schedule a delivery, please refer to our Freight Delivery Guide available here

Shipping Insurance

SP Images collaborates with United Parcel Service (UPS) for ground shipments and offers shipping insurance or UPS Declared Value as an optional service. Please note that shipping insurance or UPS Declared Value must be added to your order prior to shipment; it cannot be added once the order has left our facility. By default, UPS provides automatic liability coverage up to $100.00 for loss or damage at no additional cost. If a package is lost or damaged, SP Images will refund up to $100.00 to the customer. If the declared value exceeds $100.00, as of November 2024, for Declared Value from $100.01 to $300.00: A fee of $4.35 is charged. Declared Value over $300.00: an additional fee of $1.45 per $100.00 (or fraction thereof) is applied, starting from the first $100.00. These fees are subject to change. For the most up-to-date information, please refer to UPS's official Value-Added Services Pricing guide. SP Images assumes no responsibility for packages or their contents once they have left our facility.

Double-Boxing Service

To provide added protection for high-value trading cards, SP Images offers a double-boxing service for an additional $3.50 per case. This service includes labor and materials, ensuring extra protection for unopened cases from the manufacturer. Our double-boxing service is available only for full cases of trading cards. However, some trading card cases cannot be double-boxed due to their size. If you would like to add double-boxing to your shipment, please contact your Account Manager.

Best Practices for Freight Claims

When receiving freight shipments, signing the Bill of Lading (BOL) acknowledges that the delivery was received in good condition unless specific notations are made. To support a freight claim for missing or damaged goods, following these best practices can greatly increase the likelihood of claim approval:

Document Missing Items If the BOL lists five pallets but only four are delivered, note on the BOL: "Missing 1 pallet; only received 4 pallets." Ensure this notation is made on both the driver’s and your copy of the BOL at the time of delivery.

Verify Case Counts If you cannot verify the cases on a pallet immediately, sign for the pallet and note “Cases Subject to Count.” Most drivers will wait while you verify the count.

Note Damages Record specific details of visible damage to pallets or cases. For hidden damages, write “Damaged pallets/cases subject to inspection” and include a visual description of the damage. Take photos of the damage in the truck, off the truck, and of the affected items in detail.

If you have any questions or require assistance with a freight claim, please reach out directly to your Account Manager.
